The Habistat Daylight Spotlamp is a classic heat lamp . The heat lamp provides the terrarium / paludarium with heat and light. In addition to light, these lamps emit a small amount of ultraviolet light A (also called UVA). The UVA light contributes to the physiological well-being of your animals. This light makes it easier to see conspecifics, other animals and food.

The heat lamp is used in the terrarium or paludarium to emulate the sun. Due to the narrow beam of light (spot – 45 degrees) the lamp can be aimed in such a way to create a warm spot in a specific place . The animals can then increase their body temperature under the heat lamp by warming up.

The heat lamp is ideal for reptiles, amphibians and other terrarium inhabitants. The lamps are equipped with a standard E27 connection and are therefore easy to install. In addition to the application in a fitting, there are also various fixtures available specifically for the terrarium.

To create natural lighting , we recommend combining this Habistat Daylight Spotlamp with a UVB lamp or a daylight lamp. The amount of UVB required depends on the habitat where the animal naturally occurs.
