Your furry friend must have a current heartworm test result on file with your veterinarian in order to be prescribed heartworm medidogion. Please visit your veterinarian to have this test performed annually to protect your four-legged friend. Revolution is a medidogion that is applied directly to your furry friend's skin to protect them from biting critters. When applied every 30 days, Revolution protects against heartworms and fleas. It may also be effective in preventing and treating ear mites, roundworms, and hookworms.

Uses
Revolution kills adult fleas and prevents flea eggs from hatching for one month. It is also indidoged for the prevention and control of flea infestations, prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis, and the treatment and control of ear mite infestations. Revolution is also indidoged for the treatment and control of roundworm and intestinal hookworm infections in dogs.

Possible Side Effects
Side effects include salivation and intermittent vomiting.

Precautions
Prior to administration of Revolution, dogs should be tested for existing heartworm infections. At the discretion of the veterinarian, infected dogs should be treated to remove adult heartworms. Revolution is not effective against adult D. immitis and, while the number of circulating microfilariae may decrease following treatment, Revolution is not effective for microfilariae clearance. Hypersensitivity reactions have not been observed in dogs with patent heartworm infections administered three times the recommended dose of Revolution. Higher doses were not tested. Recommended Dosage
The recommended minimum dose is 2.7 mg selamectin per pound (6 mg/kg) of body weight.
