Wild horses graze for approximately 16 hours a day, making around 40,000 chewing motions. Stabled, domesticated horses chew much less. Pavo DailyPlus is a balanced roughage (with an energy value equal to good hay). It can be fed alone or mixed with concentrates to stimulate chewing and increase saliva production. Plenty of chewing combats boredom and an increased saliva production is good for a healthy digestive function.
